Jane Braves the shave for Aylesford Unit

Jane Pattinson has raised £1,217.49 by shaving her head in support of the Cancer Unit at Warwick Hospital.

Jane, a resident of Napton, previously Whitnash, had her head shaved by Mrs Bennet, a local salon owner in Southam. This occurred at the Old Mint pub in Southam in February 2016, in front of a loving crowd of friends and family, many of whom contributed to the sum of money that Jane raised. Following the support and care she has received from the Aylesford Unit over the last 3 and half years, Jane decided to donate the money to the unit in order to give others the opportunity to receive the quality of care and support she has received during her time at the unit.

Sarah Lissaman, the Aylesford Unit Co-ordinator praised the gesture: “Jane’s donation will help to make a real difference to the unit and we are very grateful for her support. Her bravery is also such an inspiration to all of us, particularly other patients, as she has shown motivation and resilience despite her condition.”
