NFU Mutual team climb Snowdon for colleague

The NFU Mutual Customer Services senior management team have managed to complete the hard task of an ascent of mount Snowdon.

The team were raising money for the Aylesford Unit at Warwick Hospital and were led by Customer Services Director Steve Bower.

The team who are based at the company headquarters in Tiddington took on this challenge as their colleague Rolf Wilson received treatment during 2017 at the Aylesford Unit.

Rolf said: "I am very grateful to all the team at the Aylesford unit for their professionalism and caring and personal approach whilst I attended the unit. It would be great if we could raise some funds to help them carry on their good work".

The Aylesford Unit at Warwick Hospital has treatment facilities for patients with a diagnosis or suspected diagnosis of cancer. Fundraising for the unit enables the purchase of higher specification of equipment for use in the treatment of cancer which helps improve patient care.

Steve Bower and Rolf Wilson came to meet with staff to receive a certificate of appreciation from the NHS Trust's Charity for raising over £5000 on Friday 8 June.

Money will go towards the refurbishment of the waiting area, where families often wait for extended periods of time, whilst their loved ones undergo chemotherapy.
