South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust (SWFT) win contract to provide Health Visitor Services across Warwickshire

Over the last few months Warwickshire County Council have undertaken a procurement exercise to choose a provider for health visitor services. As the current provider of the services, SWFT have been successful against other bidders to continue to run health visiting for the next two years. These are vitally important services for the Trust as they provide a real opportunity to influence good health and wellbeing at an early age for children and their families. We are looking forward to working with the local authority to maximise this opportunity.

This year the Trust was also awarded a new contract to provide the Healthy Child Programme in collaboration with Solihull Council which includes health visiting services and the previous year were awarded a contract to provide school nursing services across Coventry. Operating services for young people across a wider geographical footprint supports cross learning to provide the best possible services for families.

Glen Burley, Chief Executive said: “The teams are absolutely delighted to be able to continue to provide health visiting services across Warwickshire and have been key to delivering a plan that meets the requirements Warwickshire County Council have set out for the local area. I have recently held some staff engagement sessions and I have been overwhelmed with the positive, innovative ideas that our staff have working in these areas and look forward to supporting them to deliver these for young people across Warwickshire, Coventry and Solihull.”
