South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust wins ‘Outstanding Achievement in Healthcare’ award

Exactly a year after being rated ‘Outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust has scooped an ‘Outstanding Achievement in Healthcare’ award.

The Health Business Awards, sponsored by Netcall and presented by GP and medical broadcaster Dr Hilary Jones, announced the win at an online ceremony on Thursday, 10 December. The award is presented to high-performing organisations that have brought benefits to the wider NHS through the dedication and expertise of staff.

This year the challenges faced by the NHS have been greater than ever before, and COVID-19 continues to place additional pressure on staff already working hard to deliver services. Under these circumstances this recognition of the hard work and dedication of staff has been especially appreciated by the Trust.

Glen Burley, Chief Executive, said: “We are delighted to receive this national award that recognises our outstanding performance. Our staff work extremely hard to maintain the highest standards and this award highlights their commitment to providing high quality care for our patients even in the most challenging of times. I want to thank our staff for their enthusiasm, for always going the extra mile and for helping us to be the outstanding organisation we are. They have responded heroically to this pandemic and I will always be grateful for their efforts and their resilience.”
