Urgent Care in South Warwickshire this Winter
Coronavirus has had a huge impact of all aspects of healthcare. The pandemic bought new challenges and demands which all healthcare providers had to respond to quickly. As a result of this South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust and South Warwickshire Clinical Commissioning Group, temporarily closed the Minor Injuries Unit at Stratford Hospital and the First Aid Centre at Ellen Badger Hospital. This was to ensure staff could care for patients where they were most needed.

Newly qualified Warwick nurse who saved man’s life during flight up for top award
A man whose life was saved at 38,00ft by a nurse who had yet to graduate has nominated her for a prestigious award. James Birch suffered a cardiac arrest on the long-haul flight but Isobel Corrie answered the call for help despite having just finished her nursing degree.

Warwickshire hospitals given £5millon cash boost to prepare for winter
On Tuesday 11 August the Prime Minister (PM) announced during a visit to Wye Valley NHS Trust that Warwickshire hospitals, George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust (GEH) and South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust (SWFT), will be allocated £5million to assist with winter pressures.
