NHS rainbow badges worn with pride in Warwickshire

South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust (SWFT) has launched the NHS rainbow badge pilot initiative within maternity, children and community health visitor services, in partnership with Warwickshire County Council. This LGBT+ inclusivity scheme was originally launched at Evelina London Children’s Hospital (part of Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust) and has now been implemented in more than 45 trusts around England.

A patient with incurable cancer has paid a heartfelt tribute to the invaluable "lifeline" and vital support she received by Warwick Hospital’s Secondary Breast Cancer (SBC) Team. The feedback arrived in a letter from patient Mary Bonner to the SBC Team shortly after she sadly passed away in August, aged just 52.
