Minor Injuries Unit at Stratford Hospital planned to re-open in August 2022
South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust and Coventry and Warwickshire Integrated Care Board (ICB) have been working closely to make arrangements to safely re-open the Minor Injuries Unit at Stratford Hospital.

Dedicated staff member retiring after 48 years working for the NHS
Mr Ahmed Filali Naji is set to retire after 48 years of service in the NHS, 34 of which were at South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust (SWFT). Mr Ahmed Filali Naji, better known as ‘Naji’ was a decontamination technician where he worked with a variety of medical devices, carefully following guidelines and procedures to make sure the medical devices were properly decontaminated for reuse on patients.

South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust to contribute to NHS green savings equivalent to half a million fewer cars on the road
As the UK marks Clean Air Day (16th June) South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust’s (SWFT) Green Plan is set to play its part in helping the NHS cut more than 1m tonnes of C02 emissions in the next three years – the equivalent of taking 520,000 cars off the road.

Warwickshire Nurse recognised for outstanding family-centred care
Emma-Louise Evans, Nursery Nurse at South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust, has been awarded the prestigious Nursing and Midwifery Award in the Regional Parliamentary Awards for the Midlands. NHS Midlands announced on Tuesday 14 June the ten individuals and teams chosen as regional champions to mark the NHS’s 74th birthday.

South Warwickshire NHS trust wins children’s nurse funding
South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust has been selected out of 35 other NHS organisations for charity funding to employ its first Roald Dahl Specialist Nurse. The post will provide much needed support to children and young people with epilepsy across South Warwickshire.

New web pages to help find support for perinatal mental health
Partners across Coventry and Warwickshire have developed new webpages on the Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust site for parents, carers and families to raise awareness of perinatal mental health and signpost to services and support.

South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust (SWFT) has become the first NHS organisation to launch an Impact Report outlining its social impact against an innovative set of levelling up measures. The Purpose Goals, launched last year by former Education Secretary Rt Hon Justine Greening, are the UK’s first levelling up framework designed to focus efforts on driving equality of opportunity at key life stages.
