What we do

We are a specialist service who support inpatients and their families with symptom control and emotional issues surrounding a life-limiting illness and related treatments.

The role includes:

• Advice on symptom control
• Psychological support for the patient and their families or carers
• Information on disease process, treatment, medication, local and national services
• Assessment of complex palliative care needs
