Stroke service
What we do
We provide stroke and transient ischaemic attack (TIA) services for people of all age groups.
We have two dedicated wards for inpatient stroke care and a community stroke rehabilitation service for patients following discharge from hospital. We also hold a TIA outpatient clinic twice a week.

Preparing for your appointment
Prior to your appointment, you may be asked to attend for an ECG in the Medical Measurement Department and a scan in the Radiology Department.

Three local CCGs (NHS Coventry and Rugby CCG, NHS South Warwickshire CCG and NHS Warwickshire North CCG) launched a consultation on Wednesday 9 October 2019 on proposals for the future of local stroke services.
They want to improve stroke services for local people. To make this happen services need to change and investments into specialist rehabilitation, ambulance transfers and medicines. They feel that it is important to make this investment in order to reduce the chances of people having a stroke and the disability resulting from a stroke.
