Abbie Hanlon
Hospital Play Specialist, Abbie Hanlon,
helped organise a magician visit, face painting
and a visit from Santa for the children staying
at MacGregor Ward in the lead-up to Christmas.
Abbie's dedication and kindness do not go unnoticed!

ITU and Paediatric Physiotherapy

Both teams have recently demonstrated
how they go above and beyond to care
for patients and have been recognised
by the West Midlands Paediatric Critical Care Network.

Emergency Department

The Tissue Viability Team nominated
ED for the improvement they have made
in caring for patients at risk of developing
pressure ulcers. They have received and
taken on board training and employed the
use of profiling trolleys and mattresses,
ensuring skin checks and repositioning where possible.

Kam Madar

Assistant Service Manager for the
Emergency Division, Kam Madar, has been
instrumental in SWFT becoming first in
the country in the medal table and first for
the number of gold medals for The Emergency
Care Improvement Support Team (ECIST)
Networks Reconditioning The Nation games.
Kam has supported teams in their application
for awards; a gold medal is rewarded when
evidence is provided of sustained
improvement through best practice or performance data.
