Coventry and Warwickshire Integrated Care Record (ICR)

Have you ever visited us and wondered why we can’t see all of your health and care information? Or queried why you sometimes need to answer the same questions about your medications, allergies or treatment each time you visit your local GP or hospital?

The simple answer is we all used to use different computer systems to record your details. However, that’s now changing with the introduction of the Coventry and Warwickshire ICR.

The ICR brings together the various electronic records of a person’s care and presents it in a structured and easy-to-read format for health and care professionals to use.

Who does the ICR benefit?

Anyone registered with a GP practice (including those under the age of 18) in Birmingham and Solihull, Coventry and Warwickshire, or Herefordshire and Worcestershire.

If you’re registered with a practice outside this area, you’ll need to contact your GP to see if you’re included in a different programme.

What do you need to do?

You don’t need to do anything. For anyone who is registered with a GP in Coventry and Warwickshire, Birmingham (excluding west Birmingham) and Solihull, or Herefordshire and Worcestershire, the change took place automatically when the ICR was switched on across the organisations taking part.
