Kind donation to Aylesford Unit from afternoon tea

The Aylesford Unit at Warwick Hospital has this week received a kind donation from proceeds from a charity afternoon tea.

Julia Mitchell and her neighbour Gill Kelsall recently held an afternoon in her garden in aid of Breast Cancer Care. At the event, they help a raffle and auction which raised £341 in donations from the 50 guests who attended.

The neighbours decided to fundraise for the Aylesford Unit as two of their friends, Christina Davenport and Amanda Dean, have had breast cancer in the past few years. They wanted to say thank for the amazing care that their friends received at the unit during their treatment.

This kind donation will go towards enhancing the environment for both patients and staff as well as providing specialist equipment beyond that of NHS standard.
