Volunteer with us

Volunteers

Volunteering makes a real difference to our patients and staff and can be a great way to make a difference to your local hospital or community. No two days are ever the same and you get to meet lots of people from staff to patients and their family members.

We really hope that you choose to volunteer with us as we want you to have a great experience, which can help you to share your knowledge, boost your CV and employability as well as learning and building new skills. We know you also have a variety of talents to enhance the work we do here at the Trust.

During the Covid-19 crisis we have been in the fortunate position of receiving huge numbers of applications and have been overwhelmed with offers of help and assistance but we always need reliable and enthusiastic volunteers to get involved with a range of activities and events.

Throughout the Trust, which includes community sites as well as hospitals in Warwick, Leamington, Stratford and Shipston, volunteers play a vital part in enhancing our patients experience. From befriending, helping with activities, assisting with admin work, escorting patients to hospital appointments and more. Volunteers not only dedicate their time and energy but also share their valuable skills and knowledge with us and the people they volunteer with.

From meeting and greeting in our reception areas to writing an article for our Membership magazine, there are so many ways you can be involved.

Fundraising events, dining companions, drivers, photographers, entertainers…………………..

Here at South Warwickshire University NHS Foundation Trust we have over 300 volunteers who are making a real difference on a daily basis. They are actively involved in and around our hospital sites and within our community. They have become a valued part of our organisation and we really appreciate the impact our volunteers make to enhance the quality of patient care.
