Our Trust continues to deliver excellent overall inpatient experience.

Results in the Adult Inpatient Survey 2025 show strong patient experience scores, with 26 questions ranking in the top 20% nationally.

Patients felt they were:

  • given enough privacy when being examined or treated (9.65/10)
  • treated with respect and dignity (9.40/10)
  • treated with kindness and compassion (9.31/10)
  • received enough to drink during their hospital stay (9.47/10)
  • and their language needs were considered (9.29/10)

Our most improved areas were patients’ ability to access food and drink outside of mealtimes and language needs / support.

Adam Carson, Managing Director at SWFT, said: "The survey results are a testament to the incredible dedication and compassion of our staff.

"I thank every member of our team for their hard work, which has driven real, sustained high standards in the care we give to our patients every day, particularly across the wide range of services recognised nationally for exceptional quality.

"Seeing such positive feedback around dignity, privacy and respect demonstrates that our values are being lived out on our wards. While we celebrate these accomplishments, our work never stops, we will keep listening to our patients and striving for continuous progress to ensure we always put patients first."
