Over the past 12 months, Great British Energy has helped more than 260 NHS sites in England save money on bills through the solar roll-out scheme, savings that can be reinvested into frontline services.

As of this month, 160 NHS sites in England have already completed their solar installations, with more set to be completed in the coming months.

Last year, South Warwickshire University NHS Foundation Trust was awarded £499,656.63 for solar panel installations at Lillington Health Hub, Royal Leamington Spa Hospital, Whitnash Lodge and Heathcote House. At Lillington, the project also includes battery storage, helping to generate clean power and deliver reductions in energy costs.

We’re pleased to announce the completion of the solar installation projects at Royal Leamington Spa Hospital and Lillington Health Hub, which are now part of the growing number of NHS sites helping to triple NHS solar generation.

Across the two sites, the new PV systems will generate an estimated 348,774kWh of electricity, saving approximately £61,480 compared to grid consumption!
